For Your Safety ...

Employees, Volunteers, and Vendors:
All Medina Square Farmers Market employees, volunteers, and vendors must comply with guidelines established by the State of Ohio's Stay-Safe-Ohio Order and the Medina Co. Health Dept.
These include the following:
  1. All employees, volunteers, and vendors must report body temperatures prior to the start of each market and will be sent home should they experience a fever of more than 100.4 degrees F and/or exhibit signs of respiratory symptoms (coughing or shortness of breath.) They cannot return to the market unless they have been free of fever for at least 72 hours (without fever-reducing medications) and respiratory symptoms.
  2. All employees, volunteers, and vendors are required to wear face coverings or masks at all times. Some exceptions apply. Those without masks must provide justifiable reason in writing to the Health Dept. upon request.
  3. Employees, volunteers, and vendors are expected to clean hands and all surfaces frequently, preferably between each customer, and will provide hand sanitizer or wipes to customers when requested. Only materials that can be immediately washed or sanitized are permitted. Porous materials like tablecloths, baskets, bags, etc. should not be used.
  4. Wearing gloves is strongly recommended regardless of whether or not food is handled. Separate vendors/employees should handle food and payment transactions when possible.
  5. It is recommended that one side of each booth be for products and the other side for checkout and vendors are encouraged to use contact-free chip readers to process sales and/or sell items for whole dollar amounts to limit customer contact. Items should be clearly posted on signs and packaging along with pricing.
  6. Consumable goods are limited to whole, uncut produce and packaged foods or cottage items with no on-site food preparations or sampling, unless prepackaged before arriving to the market or directly poured from container to containers with lids by the vendor.
  7. Vendors are expected to provide new plastic shopping bags for each customer since they are not permitted to bring reusable bags or totes.
  8. Vendors should be prepared for a weekly start time of 8 am to 9 am designated for customers over age 59 or those at risk.
  9. All vendors are required to have on site or will provide copies of inspection forms, licenses, and permits required by law to sell and promote products.
  10. Products and ingredients are to be labeled in accordance with Ohio Department of Agriculture guidelines. Products labeled “organic” must be certified by an accredited organization.
Customers and Visitors:
Please follow these guidelines established by the State of Ohio's Stay-Safe-Ohio Order and the Medina Co. Health Dept.
These include the following:
  1. The market will operate from 9 am until 1 pm. However, an early opening at 8 am will be designated for customers over the age of 59 and those with compromised immunity or "at risk."
  2. Stay at home if you have a fever of more than 100.4 degrees F and/or exhibit signs of respiratory symptoms (coughing or shortness of breath). You will be sent home immediately if you display symptoms and cannot return to the market until you are free of fever for at least 72 hours (without fever-reducing medications) and respiratory symptoms.
  3. Please limit who comes with you to the market to one other person from your household. Social gatherings are not permitted.
  4. Enter and exit the market according to markings, posted signs, and maps provided. Movement through the market is limited to one direction only with 6’ social distancing between customers or households.
